Description:Summary:The Materials Technician is responsible for proper handling of raw material both physically and systematically.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Completed forklift certification and passed test successfully.Safely operate electric stand-up lifts.Able to perform and maintain daily housekeeping duties for assigned areasAble to identify extrusions, glass and other materials that are in their assigned areas.Able to read and interpret extrusion labels.Able to identify incoming quality issues and notify correct parties for resolution.Demonstrates the ability to dispose of all scrap materials.Able to perform accurate system transactions with a hand-held scanner or at computer terminal with a 100% accuracy.Able to determine system transaction issues and make the appropriate corrections to resolve the issue.Safely loads and unloads extrusion racks (Glass Plant- Stoche glass packs) with an overhead crane and performs necessary system transactions accuratelyRemove DMRs as identified by QualitySkills:Forklift, Packaging, Packing, Heavy lifting, General production, Picking, General labor, InventoryAdditional Skills & Qualifications:Qualifications:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
