Job Summary and Qualifications Ultrasound Technologist At HCA West Florida, we are committed to creating a world-class experience for each patient. We are currently seeking an Ultrasound Technologist (Sonographer) on a part-time basis. If you share our passion and vision, we invite you to apply now!Your tasks and responsibilities as Ultrasound Technologist include but are not limited to:
  • Prepare and position patients and equipment in a safe, competent manner
  • Obtain and document a complete patient history as it relates to the procedure ordered, and obtain informed consent in accordance with departmental policy and procedure
  • Maintain statistical results for quality improvement
  • Communicate effectively with patient providing explanation of procedures within scope of practice and with radiologists regarding any unusual clinical findings, history, test results, etc.Qualifications
    • A two-year Associate Degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography
    • Valid registry through ARDMS with RVT, AB, or OB/GYN specialty/ies
    • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
    • 1-3 years previous experience as Ultrasound Technologist (Sonographer)
    • Organizational, verbal, interpersonal, customer relations, mathematical, analytical, grammar/spelling, computer (MEDITECH), and clerical skills
