Job Description:
Genesis10 is seeking a Data Sourcing Manager for our client in
the Financial Services Industry. This is a Hybrid, Contract
opportunity (50/50) located in the Tampa FL area, 33716 Rate
$70.00ph - $80.00ph Depending upon experience and level W2 Status:
Only candidates available and ready to work directly as employees
will be considered for this position. No VISA candidates will be
considered for this position The Data Sourcing Manager will lead
and participate in data scoping and procurement efforts across the
Business Unit areas to ensure that enterprise data used for
Regulatory reporting, modeling, key business decisions and
executing company business processes is effectively sourced from
the appropriate data systems. This position will report to the
Director of Data Remediation in the Chief Administration Office and
support the company as it builds its capabilities to transition to
a Category IV institution (LFI). The Data Sourcing Manager is
responsible for collaborating with Business Subject Matter Experts
(SMEs), Data Custodians and Regulatory reporting SMEs to identify
and document all business and technical metadata required to source
data required for various Enterprise deliverables outlined above.
In addition, the Data Sourcing Manager will be responsible for
documenting all identified gaps related to Data Sourcing;
collaborating with Technology to ensure that data effectively
traverses from source to target systems; developing and publishing
the appropriate metrics and progress reporting to various forums
and councils; documenting and improving operational processes,
including approval and escalation plans, data risk and controls
adoption and implementation. The person in this role will partner
with subject matter experts in Regulatory Reporting, Compliance,
Technology, and others in the Category IV program to drive data
strategy and continue to scale and improve the operating model for
sourcing Enterprise data. Responsibilities Fully understand various
data and reporting flows across the Regulatory Reporting areas to
identify data gaps Correspond and execute deliverables aligned with
principles, policies, frameworks and procedures laid at the firm or
business unit or function levels as per the guidance from the Chief
Administrative Officer heading up the Business Controls & Risk
function. Lead identification and documentation efforts for all
Enterprise data sets. Lead the analysis and documentation of the
data flows from source to target systems into a Business
Requirements document, identifying the data transformations that
are required, as well as improvement opportunities for the data
flows Lead processes that leverage Ab Initio tool to load data
catalogs, required business terms / definitions, link business to
technical data elements, categorizing criticality of each data
element, and working with IT to complete the data lineage from data
sources to reports Collaborate with appropriate business
stakeholders/remediation owners to implement data quality controls,
help remediate data gap issues and improve processes to prevent
future data concerns. Track, resolve and escalate issues for own
projects while keeping relevant stakeholders informed. Maintain
project deliverables including reporting and tracking status using
PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, Teams and Microsoft Azure DevOps
(TFS) tracking tool. Create effective presentations to be used with
business audiences of various levels. Skills: Lead all day-to-day
activities to support data sourcing, and to optimize metrics and
progress reporting processes. Foundational data governance
principles and how they contribute to trusted data. General
familiarity with regulatory reports of Category IV (or higher)
financial institutions and experience in interpreting regulatory
reporting instructions. Concepts, principles and practices of
internal controls and data management and governance. Principles of
banking, finance and securities industry operations, and
familiarity with accounting and finance related topics. General
familiarity with risk and control framework of Category IV
financial institution. Concepts of business analytics and
familiarity with business intelligence tools such as Python,
Tableau, Qlik, MS Power BI, MS Teams, SharePoint, etc. Experience
in using data gap remediation and data quality monitoring tools
(particularly Microsoft DevOps (TFS), Ab Initio, Collibra, IBM
Infosphere or Informatica Data Quality) is a plus. Familiarity with
Client Bank (FRB) and/or Office of the Comptroller of the Currency
(OCC) regulatory requirements is a plus. Deep understanding of
enterprise data management concepts, principles and practices.
Strong "soft” skills in collaboration, facilitation, coordination,
logistics, presentation, marketing, and excellent communication
skills (both written and verbal). Outstanding project management
skills; proficient with project management tools and techniques;
can easily manage multiple issues simultaneously. Experience
delivering data quality improvements in a complex, transforming,
multi-national banking environment. Organizational and planning
skills, showing an ability to operate in a multi-geography, matrix
organization; managing and where necessary leading activities
through cross-functional teams, with the discipline to track
delivery of complex deliverables over multiple months. Excellent
communication skills (both written and verbal), including the
ability to present complex concepts and strategies successfully.
Leveraging strong negotiation, influencing and stakeholder
management skills across different levels of the organization
Demonstrated strong execution capabilities and entrepreneurial mind
set to go above and beyond delivering core responsibilities.
Education: BS/BA degree in Computer Science / Business / MIS
(equivalent combination of education, experience and/or training
approved by Human Resources) preferred, with a minimum of 5-7 years
of relevant experience. Oversight and supervisory experience,
minimum of 2-3 years Data quality, data governance/management or
similar level data analysis experience required OR ~ Any equivalent
combination of education, experience and/or training approved by
