Provide support, guidance and crisis intervention to the residents
and staff. Ensure maintenance of weekly staff schedules, ensuring
adequate facility coverage. Manage facility marketing, referrals,
and bed utilization. Manage facility billing in partnership with
Finance. Ensure facility meets established outcomes e.g.
activities, productivity, licensing, etc. Ensure facility meets the
nutritional needs of residents. On call for emergencies and fill in
as needed. Advocate for the residents with outside agencies, case
managers, physicians, families and ensure relevant referrals are
made. Ensure the development of programming, such as Life Skills,
for engagement and to enhance quality of life of residents.
Complete and/or oversee completion of all necessary paperwork to
comply with licensure standards, including personnel and resident
files, electronic health record, progress notes, etc. Screen
referrals and follow up in a timely manner with the referral source
regarding the outcome. Complete administrative paperwork, intake
paperwork for new residents, changes of status forms in compliance
with company policy. Ensure completion of resident intakes for
potential residents, in addition to the completion of admissions
and discharges. Ensure the facility is Welcoming - clean, safe, and
operated in a professional manner; and report needed repairs to the
Director of Maintenance. Report all pertinent information to the
President for coordination with the Administrator. Ensure
availability and completion of in-services and training of new and
ongoing staff, as applicable. Be a liaison between residents and
CASL administration. Lead weekly wellness meetings with heads of
dietary, resident care, and activities services departments.
Maintain confidentiality of all resident information. Must stay
abreast of CASL correspondence, respond timely, appropriately and
professionally, in all communications internally and externally.
Interact professionally with residents, co-workers and vendors.
Maintain tact and professionalism. Prevent complacency from setting
in – evaluate facility, services, and engagement regularly. Staff
Supervision and Evaluation: Provides direct ongoing supervision to
residential program staff, including support, encouragement, and
mentorship. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance
with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
Responsibilities include assigning and directing work, rewarding
and disciplining team members, addressing complaints, and resolving
problems. Completes staff performance evaluations according to CASL
standards and implements agency personnel policies and procedures
as necessary. Monitors and manages staff scheduling and service
provisions. Assists in the interviewing and hiring of staff in
conjunction with the human resources department. Approve timecards
for direct reports by deadline for payroll processing, including
being responsive to fix errors and approve or deny PTO requests.
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications/Education Requirements Candidates must possess a
Master's Degree from an accredited university or college with a
major in; counseling, social work, psychology, criminal justice,
nursing, rehabilitation, special education, health education or a
related human services field and have a minimum of four years of
full time or equivalent experience working with adults with severe
and persistent mental illness, OR Bachelor's Degree from an
accredited university or college with a major in; counseling,
social work, psychology, criminal justice, nursing, rehabilitation,
special education, health education or a related human services
field and have seven years, full time or equivalent, working with
adults with persistent mental health diagnosis. OR A minimum of ten
years of full time or equivalent experience working with adults
with severe and persistent mental illness. Two or more years in
program management or as a director of an ALF or RTF. ALF
Administrator Core Training is preferred. Minimum of three years
supervisory experience. Must have knowledge and must comply with
state licensing, state and federal statutes, rules and policies
that affect the target population. Experience with AHCA, DOH, and
DCF, as well as CARF and/or Joint Commission, a plus. Risk
management or client safety experience a plus. Experience working
as part of a strategic leadership team a plus. Must have knowledge
of available resources for adults with severe and persistent mental
illness. Knowledge of the principles and practices of assisted
living and/or residential programs and services Demonstrates
excellent verbal and written skills. Must demonstrate above average
computer skills. Must demonstrate excellent skill using electronic
health records. Must demonstrate good knowledge and use of
Microsoft Suite. Must be able to work with diverse groups and
individuals, including various cultural and socioeconomic
backgrounds. Must successfully complete all criminal background
screens and remain eligible. Valid Florida driver license, must be
able to drive with the ability to become and remain under the
agency’s insurance policy. Good Moral Character. Must pass a drug
screen and follow drug-free workplace policy. Must maintain
trainings as required. Must have negative TB screening within 30
days of hire and annually thereafter. Must obtain a free from
communicable disease statement within 30 days of hire.
